STARTING OF THE TOUR

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, a courteous Snowyoda Expedition representative will greet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel, where you will be welcomed with a traditional hospitality gesture during check-in. After settling in, you may choose to relax at the hotel or take a gentle walk around the nearby area, depending on your preference and energy level.

In the evening, you will be taken to Thamel—Kathmandu’s renowned tourist district—where vibrant streets, artisan shops, and local charm await. Enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner at a carefully selected restaurant, followed by time to explore the markets and discover unique souvenirs and handicrafts. This provides a wonderful cultural introduction to the spirit and vibrancy of the capital city.

KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING AND TREK PREPARATION

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, a driver will pick you up and take you on a scenic tour of Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. You will visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple (1500 AD), the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa (500 AD), and the historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square (1427 AD). Other notable sites, such as Boudhanath Stupa and Basantapur Durbar Square, can also be included in your day’s exploration.

If you prefer, we can customize the day with activities such as shopping, visiting museums, or dining in both local and fine restaurants. Additionally, if you need any trekking equipment, we can arrange for it to be purchased during the day.

In the evening, we will gather at the hotel for a detailed trek briefing, ensuring you're fully prepared and excited for the adventure that awaits you the next day.

DRIVE TO POKHARA

Following a relaxed breakfast at your hotel, you will begin a scenic drive to Pokhara, a tranquil lakeside city nestled beneath the majestic Annapurna range. The journey offers picturesque views of terraced fields, rivers, and rural landscapes.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will check in to your hotel and take time to unwind. The serene beauty of Phewa Lake and the city’s laid-back charm offer a perfect setting for rest and recovery after the drive.

The day is kept flexible for your comfort. If time and energy permit, we may visit some of Pokhara’s natural attractions, such as the impressive Devi’s Falls and the intriguing Mahendra Cave, offering a brief introduction to the region’s natural splendor.

DRIVE TO NAYAPUL AND TREK TO TIKLEDHUNGA

After enjoying a nourishing breakfast and a brief rest at the hotel, we begin the first leg of our trekking adventure. A scenic 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara in a private vehicle brings us to Nayapul, the official starting point of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek.

Today’s trek is relatively gentle, starting with a gradual uphill walk along a gravel road. As the path transitions into a more defined trail, we pass through picturesque villages and verdant landscapes. A highlight of the day includes crossing the Modi Khola via a traditional suspension bridge—an iconic experience for trekkers in Nepal.

Our destination for the day is the peaceful village of Tikhedhunga, where we check in to a cozy mountain lodge. After a warm meal and some well-earned rest, we settle in for the night, preparing for the steeper climbs that await.

Total trekking time: Approximately 5–6 hours.

TIKLEDHUNGA TO GHOREPANI

We begin the day with an early start around 7:00 AM, enjoying a hearty breakfast before setting off on one of the more demanding segments of the trek. The day’s hike begins with a steep and steady ascent, testing your endurance as the trail climbs continuously for around 4 hours. Though physically challenging, the effort is richly rewarded with spectacular views of the snow-capped Annapurna peaks emerging through the forested landscape.

We pause midday for lunch and a short rest, allowing you to refuel and recharge. The trek then continues for another 3 hours towards Ghorepani, a beautiful mountain village nestled among rhododendron forests.

Ghorepani is divided into lower and upper sections, and we stay in the upper part, which offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After checking into our lodge, you’ll have time to relax, soak in the mountain atmosphere, and prepare for the early morning hike to Poon Hill.

GHOREPANI TO GHANDRUK

We rise early at 5:00 AM and begin our hike toward the iconic Poon Hill to witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises in the world. The 45-minute ascent brings us to the summit, where we are greeted by magnificent panoramic views of the Annapurna (8091m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), and Machhapuchhre (6993m), famously known as the Fishtail Mountain. This is the highlight of the Ghorepani-Poonhill Trek, a sight so mesmerizing that you could spend hours simply soaking in its beauty. The rugged snow-capped peaks, illuminated by the warm hues of the rising sun, create a scene that draws trekkers from around the globe.

After enjoying the stunning views, we make our way back to Ghorepani for breakfast and a brief rest. Refreshed, we continue our trek towards Ghandruk Village. Along the way, you’ll be treated to continuous vistas of the towering mountains, with every turn offering a new photo-worthy view. The trail meanders along a ridge and then descends through dense rhododendron forests and past cascading waterfalls.

Upon reaching Ghandruk Village, we find ourselves surrounded by stone houses and the warmth of the Gurung community. The village offers not only a chance to rest but also opportunities for cultural exploration. You can visit the local museum, temple, and monastery, all while being captivated by the stunning mountain backdrop that envelops the village.

Overnight stay in Ghandruk, where the serenity and beauty of the surroundings promise an unforgettable experience.

RETURN TO POKHARA

We begin our descent back to Pokhara, covering a distance of approximately 13.2 km. Our first stop is Birethani, where we’ll break for lunch and take a well-deserved rest. Afterward, we continue with a final short hike of just 2 km to reach Nayapul.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, we check into our hotel, where you can unwind and recover from the physical demands of the trek. After a few days of adventure, your body might be feeling the toll, so we recommend taking it easy. You can relax at the hotel or opt for a rejuvenating massage in town to recharge your energy before enjoying the comforts of modern life once again.

RETURN TO KATHMANDU AND END OF TOUR

After a relaxing breakfast at your hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Pokhara Airport for your domestic flight to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, which typically lasts about 25-30 minutes, offering beautiful aerial views of the mountains and landscapes.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Airport, our representative will be waiting to welcome you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. After checking into your hotel and taking some time to relax, you will have the option to explore Kathmandu at your own pace. Our driver can take you around the Thamel district, where you can enjoy some last-minute shopping for souvenirs, gifts, or any other items you might need.

Enjoy a leisurely time in Kathmandu—whether you choose to unwind at a local café, stroll through the markets, or simply relax at your hotel before your international flight.

In the evening, we will arrange for your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international flight back home.
